Welcome!
Cuddlepies implements a child-centred approach that uses detailed ongoing observations, developmental records, planning
and evaluation. Our safe, fun environment is responsive to the strengths
and needs of our children and families and we make use of small groups for more one-on-one interaction. Records are available to parents
and an appointment for discussion can be arranged.
Communication between families and staff is vital and we invite you to share any concerns, suggestions or interests you may have concerning your experiences at
Nans.
Parents are more than welcome to contribute time and/or resources/skills in relation to the ideas and topics being covered by the program.
Clothing
Please supply a complete set of clothing appropriate to the weather, in
your child's bag.
Items needed:
- Underwear
- Top
- Socks
- Jumper
- Singlet
- Dress/Pants
If your child is toilet training, extra underwear, socks and even shoes may be required.
For children in nappies, bring in 6-8 nappies a day.
For children with cloth nappies, make sure that they have their name/initials on them.
In summer, your child needs to bring a hat with a brim e.g.
Legionnaries-style and some 15+ sunblock (large container) for communal use. If your child is sensitive to certain creams we will make sure
they have their own cream on.
In winter, you need to supply a warm beanie that covers the ears, and a warm coat that can be left in the room for the colder season.
PLEASE label all articles of clothing to reduce the risk of misplacing them.
Cows' milk is supplied, but if your child requires an alternative milk, e.g.
soy, we ask if you can bring it in (labelled) and place it in the kitchen fridge.
If you have any concerns or you would like to have a chat with the room leader about your child's progress, please ask the staff about arranging an interview.
Thank you
The Cuddlepies staff
